I AM A RUNNER

If I keep saying I AM A RUNNER then maybe I'll actually beieve myself.

OK, My baby is now 2 years old. I can no longer blame her or the boys for my butt looking the way it does. I, me, myself, Stephanie must do something about this problem that I have developed. I have used every excuse imaginable so it's time to stop and take action. Sooo, Mel talked me into running, RUNNING a 5K in May. I paid the 32 bucks and now it's official. I must be ready or I will be defeated, by my own self. I have attempted the couch to 5k plan before and didn't finish. This time, I WILL FINISH! I did day 2 of week 2 today. Only 7 weeks to go...sheesh. Good news is that I didn't die on the treadmill today. Need to hit the pavement. More to come on that.

Bye Bye Doggie

So we decided to keep Gizmo and after about a week I was regretting the decision. What am I thinking taking on another thing to feed, bathe, look at and keep from getting hit by cars??? Really? Am I crazy?! So he went back to live with his mommy. I think they are both happy about that decision. I know I am!!! Oh, my 3 kiddos never even asked about him after he was gone. Guess they are fine with good ole Jesse.

Good thinkin'

Taylor asked "If ALL is spelled a-l-l then why don't all and shall rhyme?" What a great question. His next question was "Why did God make stinky, mean teachers?" Um, well, That's a good question too.

Dog sitting...forever

My girlfriend asked me to keep her dog for the weekend while she went out of town and we agreed. He's a cute little black cockapoo named Gizmo. The kids all adore him. Even my crazy husband loves him. So, Denise had mentioned that she would be willing to give him up and we have a neighbor that just lost her husband and we thought Gizmo would be a good fit. Well, my neighbor is not quite ready for a dog so we decided we would keep him. Tyron kept saying "you know, I would be willing to keep him...for the kids!" He actually just wanted to keep him because he's madly in love with this little ball of fur! And so we are now the proud parents of 3 kids and 2 dogs.

Music to my ears

We've been potty training Booboo for a little over a month now. It's been amazingly easy! One Monday morning while changing one of his gigantic blow outs I decided that was it. I couldn't take it anymore. So I put underwear on him right that moment. That following Wednesday I took a leap of faith and took him out of the house for the first time without a diaper. No accidents! That's when I knew he was done with diapers as much as I was. So now my favorite thing to hear is "I haffa go poop!" as he streaks by to go to the bathroom. He's also decided that he needs privacy and will tell anyone that goes in while he's on the potty "get outta here a second" or "shut da der please". Yay! One kid out of diapers and one left!
